Land and Environment project

Today I revisited the Land and Environment project.

I thought this details was great. The architects had noticed that the top of an arched window would be obscured by the new ceiling. I like what they did to get over this. It also demonstrates an attention to detail and a an awareness of the history of the building.
The photograph does not really do it justice but gives an idea.

These sliding doors are also writing surfaces which activate a wall which would usually be redundant.

This is a photograph of the building circa 1930. it reminds me of Cledwyn building at Aberystwyth University.
